Window boxes

20th May 2026

The Student Council decided to spruce up the front of the school with window boxes full of flowers.

Firstly, they painted them forest green. They had to sand them down before they coated them. They look great already.

Last Monday, Ms.McNally came back to help plant the flowers with the girls. They used nappy liners to hold in the water and they will release the water gradually. This means they will only need to water the plants on a Tuesday and Friday. The boxes look amazing and will be put out next week when the weather gets warmer. The girls will now water the plants and weed them over the next few weeks.

Thank you to Ms.McNally for showing the Student Council how to plant and care for the flowers. Also we would like to thank Ms. Murphy, Ms. Crosson and Diarmuid for helping us with painting the boxes. We hope all the students enjoy the beautiful window boxes over the next few weeks as they brighten up the front of our school.
