Today we were delighted to welcome the School of Sanctuary Committee from Colàiste ChuChulainn to Castletown Girls' School.
The students visited our Senior Infants classroom where they enjoyed shared reading activities with the children. They read and discussed a variety of farm themed books in preparation for Senior Infants upcoming school tour to Newgrange Farm next week. It was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to engage in reading, conversation and learning together.
Following this, our Schools of Sanctuary Committee met with the visiting students in our Parents' Room to share our school's journey to becoming a Champion School of Sanctuary. The Committee spoke proudly about the work taking place in our school to promote inclusion, welcome and belonging for all.
We would like to thank the students and staff from Colàiste Chu Chulainn for their visit and for the positive and meaningful experience shared by everyone involved.
