Parachute Making
8th Jun 2026
1st Class B were busy making parachutes in Science to learn about air resistance and how it affects the way objects move through the air. By testing different parachutes, we discovered how the size and shape of a parachute can help slow an object down and make it land safely.
The class wrote up a procedural piece in literacy on 'how to make a parachute' and then carefully made their parachutes using materials with different lengths and objects inside them and put them to the test!
