We celebrated Intercultural Week from the 26th of February to the 1st of March. We did many fun activities during this week. In the mornings, girls read out some phrases in other languages on the intercom. We learned lots of new words. On Tuesday, we had a visit from Sara Hakim from the Schools of Sanctuary Programme. 4th and 6th Class did an Art Workshop, with Mags Harnett, called 'Depicting Diversity'. On Wednesday, we had a visit from Nell and Laura McDonagh from the Navan Travellers Workshop. On Thursday, we sampled new culturally diverse books at our 'Starbooks Café' book tasting event. On Friday, we had Intercultural Day in the hall. The girls dressed up in traditional dress. Girls, parents and staff brought in delicious foods for everyone to sample. We had a great week!
