๐Christmas Extravaganza! ๐ ๐ป
What a wonderful day we had today in Castletown Girls’ school! We enjoyed our first ever Christmas Extravaganza organised by our Parents’ Association! A fun Christmas themed morning with performances from
each class, a giant cake sale, stalls of crafts, hot chocolate reindeers, reindeer food, STEM toys (to name a few) and a tea/coffee area for adults to enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
Parents and family members came to watch the classes singing songs and enjoy the festive atmosphere whilst picking up some crafts and sweet treats.
Just before lunch we held the Christmas raffle! Well done to all our ticket sellers and congratulations to various the winners! ๐
The walls were decorated with our pupils’ Christmas Art Competition entries. Tomorrow all classes will rerun the song singing as a whole school and announce the winners of the Art Competition, “Name the Teddy” and “Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar”.
A huge thank you to all the parents and staff who sent in buns, cakes, treats and crafts to sell today we were overwhelmed by your generosity! Also to all who gave their time to organise today, time sell at stalls, prepare and clean up the hall afterwards. Another big thank you - We are very grateful for the generosity of all our sponsors. Today would not have been possible without you all.
The Parents Association is growing and going from strength to strength but we always need new numbers. We’d love to have more parents join and help us support fun experiences and happy memories for our girls in Castletown.
Happy Christmas to all,
Máire O’Rourke Curran
