On Monday, the 2nd of March, our School of Sanctuary committee alongside Ms. Murphy, Ms. Rogers and Ms. Quinn, attended the Champion Schools of Sanctuary Awards Ceremony in TU Grangegorman in Dublin.
The girls performed a poem on the stage which highlighted our journey in becoming a Champion School of Sanctuary. We then received our plaque and certificate.
After this, we took photos with the Director of Schools of Sanctuary Ireland, the Chairperson of TU and the Lord Mayor of Dublin. Two girls were interviewed by RTÉ News2Day. You can watch this here: https://www.rte.ie/player/series/news2day/SI0000001210?epguid=IH10016310-26-0038
The girls also received lovely goody bags from the Schools of Sanctuary Ireland team. We are very proud of our School of Sanctuary committee for their wonderful work. Well done girls. We are also thankful to all our students, parents/guardians and staff for their involvement in school events and for helping us achieve this award.
