Safer Internet Day 2017
On Tuesday 7th February, our school celebrated Safer Internet Day. Each class took part in various workshops and activities to promote a safer internet for all users. These workshops tackled how to use the internet, how to act safely while on the internet and who to trust on the internet. Cyberbullying was discussed in the senior classes as we feel this is an important and current issue and the children read the "Golden Rules" which include the "Granny Rule" - don't share a photo on the internet that you wouldn't show your Granny!! All classes participated in A Safer Internet Day competition, some coloured beautiful pictures, others designed posters with witty slogans and the senior classes safely emailed photos they had taken. The winners are in the above photo. Congratulations to them all and well done on continuing to encourage a safer environment on the internet!
