Castletown Girls School

Castletown Girls' School participated in the Pushkin Trust Schools' Programme 2005, using the given theme 'Threads'. They decided to explore the much loved and popular fairytale "Hansel and Gretel". The children worked brilliantly under the guidance of teacher Ms. Kerr, Dublin poet MacDara Woods and local artist Fiona Quigley. They produced three very colourful wall hangings depicting the beginning, middle and end of the story as shown below.
