Chef Gerry (Dad to 6th class Abbey and past pupil Rebecca) has been coming in on Pancake Tuesday for a number of years now to share his knowledge and create the all important pancake mix and we are all so grateful to him. A huge thank you to all our parent helpers, the day would never been so successful or so much fun without you all.
Pancake Tuesday is a special day in our school when our wonderful parents volunteer to come in to make and serve pancakes to our girls. Everyone loves this day. The girls are always so excited to come down in their class groups see the pancakes being made then to decorate and eat their delicious pancake. MIcheál and the Moo Crew are bring school into our homes. There are 5 lessons for each level Dairy in my Diet, Keeping Active, Dental Health, Dairy and the Environment and Fromm Grass to your Glass. Click on the green link button above and scroll to find you child's class level. There are videos on each topic and an accompanying activity. As most of us don't have a printer at home you can just open the activity and talk through it with your child . For example with the sequencing/ unscramble the pictures activities get younger ones to point to the pictures in the correct order. Kids might find it interesting to see how milk is produced and gets form the cows in the fields to our homes! There video below is just an advert and just to warn you it plays for the first 40 seconds at the beginning of every class video.I thought it was the same video over and over initially but its just an opening sequence, which can be a little confusing, ![]()
I just took a screenshot of the first part of the story, click on the file above to see the rest. it is quite cute!
