Today we were very lucky to go on a trip to Baengal's Castle in Newry. Some of our parents came with us. We learned about lots of traditions from Christmas in the past and how we got some of the traditions we have today. We got to try on some old robes like those Santa used to wear and also play with some toys from the past and present. We also got to make a Christmas tree in our arts and crafts session. It was great fun. Thank you Ms. Gallagher for organising the wonderful trip. Our work to bee proud of wall is filling up quickly. Teacher photocopies work that is excellent and a copy is posted on the notice board for all to see. We learn from each other and have good examples of excellent work to help us to improve.
We are very excited about our trip to Bagenal's Castle tomorrow to participate in their Christmas workshop with our parents. We have a class Christmas tree. The girls all took in a decorations to decorate it. We are putting our class Kris Kindle presents underneath. For art this week we have been drawing Snowmen Selfies.
Over the last few weeks we have been learning how to draw people. We drew our classmates and our teacher Mrs. Murphy. We are very happy with the progress we have made and have been including lots of smudging and shading to make our drawings look realistic. We have been learning how to use educational blogging and the see saw app in class. We complete various tasks using the new tablets our school won for the RSA road safety competition last year. The classroom has never been so silent!!!! We have been learning how our ears work in science and have completed some science experiments to test our ears out.
