Food dudes

The girls in Castletown GNS have been trying new things. We are taking part in the Food dudes programme. Over the past few weeks we have had fruit and vegetables delivered daily to our school for the girls to try. The aim is to introduce our tastebuds to new fruits and vegetables and make us healthier by eating an increased amount of fresh fruit and vegetables. During phase one prizes were given to girls as a reward for eating their fruit and vegetables, trying new things and eating healthily.
We  are developing new healthy habits that hopefully will last throughout our lives.

We are now in phase 2. Now its up to you. Bring in fresh fruit or vegetables each day as part of your lunch or order them on the lunches website
e.g. carrots and banana. Girls who are eating their fresh fruit and veg. will get a tick on the class chart building up to cerificates at various intervals.
Well done so far everyone, let's keep eating well and keep our bodies happy and healthy.
