2020 Updates:
We have been very busy since we came back on January 6th. We made 'Active homework' our focus for the month and it has been going great. Each class decided what would suit them best to do. The girls got really excited and loved telling their teachers about what they had done each week. Some class chose a daily or weekly activity and some did a monthly challenge sheet, where the girls picked a different activity each night. We got great feedback in our meeting with the Active Committee about how each class was doing and the attitude to it was extremely positive. We will begin another new challenge after the midterm.
We have also been on contact with the local Louth sports unit to see if they can aid us in our attempt to become more active as a whole school.
Check out our updated Active information board here too!

Our Active Walkways
A huge thank you to our caretaker Diarmuid who spent time collaborating with Ms O Carroll to figure out the best way for our school to create and Active walkway. As we have two yards we decided to create a senior walkway and a junior walkway. Diarmuid placed them at the pupils eye level on the walls and the building at the periphery of the yard.We intended these for lunch time use but unfortunately we could not use them due to Covid-19.
e are trying to think outside the box and we hope to explore ways to use out walkways during the rest of the school day. One way we have used it was for the Christmas Santa Dash. We are looking forward to getting a lot more use from our Active Walkways once we get back to school.
